Hello! I'm back from MEL camp yesterday! Its really great! The money spent were worth it! And this is my 100th post!

The speakers invited- Mr jeffrey Goh, Captain Short with Mrs Short and Mr Khoo(the man who climbed mount everest). I really gained much from them, especially Mr Goh. His talks did not really put me to sleep. His personality, his life and his talks, really taught me a lot. The 7-ups; wake, wise, look, reach, lift, fired and act, the 12 Es and E+R=O. His talks are always filled with interest, enthusiasm, inspiration, knowledge and laughter! Haha! :DDD And also fine dining!

Mr khoo. He always shared with us his expetitions. You will really respond with awe, even his photos. I cant really really all of what he said. But i remember one- Dare to Dream. I felt honoured to share these days with him.

I also learn from Mr Sugimoto Masa, the Japanese lecturer from Oshima maritime school(i dont really know the name of the school he and his students came from), his school and Sma are, i think, sister schools. He told me that Japan is still selling army officers uniform of WW2. Wow, i was excited when he told me that. I did ask him about Japan WW2 history, he did not know much and pat me on my shoulder that i know more about him. Haha. He really answered my queries to the best of his ability.

I also learn a lot from the np lecturer. Especially the course offshore technology offered by np. A bit of naval art is being teach in the course. Wow! Lastly, his experience of studying naval art aboard- Glasgow, Scotland! $100,000! From his looks, you wont believe that he studied naval art aboard! Don't judge people by looks!

The food ... I guessed was ok for the buffet which we most of the time settle our meals. The Bella Vista, the food is the best! High class restaurant, a dress code. We ate there for lunch on our first day, last night and last day early dinner. The food is the best for the last night. Maybe of the ambiance, like a candle light dinner and everyone looked really good. Didnt have a chance to visit the Chinese restaurant. All this places are foc.

The most memorable, i guessed should be the last night. Where we would dressed up and have dinner at Bella Vista. The 4 Japaneses students, especially the 2 girls really took great steps in dressing up, they looked beyond their ages but they were really easy to approach, a smile will do. Everyone looked really good, matured. Later that night, everyone took a group photo!

The most fruitful is visiting the engine room. Seeing is believing. This will really helps me! Really different from the simulator in school. The bridge also, though a glass wall stood between, saw how the captain and his staff navigate.

I also made a couple of new friends visited the casino too! Cool. I also played mahjong, a bit of basketball, swimming and the pub lounge. Took many photos but you have to go to my friendster to see them, hope my friends will send me soon!

Spent all my money and still own other people. I bought 7 shirts,1 jersey, 1 pants, 4 handicrafts and 1 other. I really liked some of the things i bought, some others are for my family. Spent more than S$100 at patong. The shop keepers really liked us, i mean our money. One offer me 1000 baht for a fake jersey though it looked quite real. A singlet for 600 baht, my friend bargained to 6 singlets- 150 each, imagine it! Sorry, if i did not bought any thing for you!

Really, i dont mind going again. But i really want to go for the exchange trip to Japan in future. Only 10 for this September. I can wait for other chances too! Even if i forgot to write about what i learnt from the camp, the speakers, what i did, i think they will forever be in my heart especially the speakers' words. Though many are strangers, i still enjoyed this camp and i'm grateful to be on board superstar virgo- 22th-25th march 2009.

I finally went to cut my hair today! I think i will cut shorter next time! haha
